Phil Saunders
Phil is a committed sports rehabilitation therapist, specialising in injury rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, and strength and conditioning. Since obtaining a BSc in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, he has had a variety of roles including working within the medical set up at Reading Football Club - with the girls and boys academy age groups, but most noticeably with the Women’s team for a couple of seasons when they were in the WSL. His role with the professional players, including footballers who have represented their countries at the World Cups and European Championships, consisted of injury assessment and treatment, injury rehabilitation, injury prevention and strength and conditioning. Other roles previously held by Phil include working in elite physiotherapy clinics, Fulham FC, Chelsea FC, and Bracknell RFC.
Currently alongside appointments, Phil holds the Role of Lead Medic for the Aussie Rules team Wimbledon Hawks, as well as for GB Bulldogs and GB Swans.
This variety has given Phil valuable experience diagnosing and treating a range of conditions from sporting injuries to sciatica, back and joint pain.
Phil also holds a Level 4 in Strength and Conditioning which can be linked in to clients rehabilitation or general athletic performance.
